Itinerary
Upon your arrival in Cairo, you will be greeted by our tour guide. The first stop will be the Pyramids of Giza, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Chefren, and the Pyramid of Mykerinos. These magnificent structures, built around 2620 to 2500 B.C. during the 4th Dynasty, are the oldest and most famous monuments in human history. They are the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The pyramids are guarded by the Great Sphinx, the largest and most famous sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of a Pharaoh, also constructed during the 4th Dynasty.
After your visit to the pyramids, enjoy a delicious lunch, which is included in the price. Then, head to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the largest museum dedicated to ancient Egyptian art from various eras. Located in downtown Cairo on Tahrir Square and built in 1900 in the neoclassical style, the museum is home to priceless treasures, including the jewels and artifacts from the tomb of the young Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Highlights include the golden chariots, coffins, and the legendary golden death mask of the pharaoh.
The day concludes with a stroll through the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar, located west of the Sayyidina-el-Husain Mosque. Established in the 14th century on the site of a former Mamluk cemetery, the bazaar has served as a bustling trading hub for centuries.
Finally, you will return to Alexandria Port.
